Getting a doctor to come to see someone who won't give consent

Hope someone can help here. Know someone whose father is not well. He went to see him tonight, wanted to get him to a hospital or get a doctor to see him. Because only his dad could give details of how ill he felt, his dad spoke to GP and wouldn't give consent for GP to come out. So GP wouldn't. If an ambulance had been called would he have had to give consent to go to hospital? Can you demand a GP comes out to see someone if that patient won't give consent?

Um... I wonder if your friend should call social services? It might be a process of getting court-ordered Power of Attorney, but doubt that can be done quickly.

if the abulance feels it an emergancy no they havet got to get consent to take him in and the doctor has the right to over rule him unles he discharges himself plus remember abulance people wont take no messing of him which might be a good thing realy
