Having only had a boy before, i dont know if this is normal, but she has a lump the size of a pea under one of her nipples. (3 months)
i dont know if this is a normal, or a glandular thing, and help would be appreciated.

I think I remember DD having hard lumps under her nipples and it was normal

thewill · 12/07/2006 18:28

did she have them under both, as this is only under one?
maybe the other one is yet to come!

Did you find out what it is? DD2 has a similar thing at the mo.

thewill · 27/07/2006 16:01

pennies, sorry i havent been on this for a few days, but in answer to your question, yes all is fine now, apparently its quite normal, i think its goin down, but the doctor said not to worry unless it grew/had any discharge.
hope this helps if you check it again.

Both my ds's had this and I was told it was due to the oestrogen I was passing onto them through breastfeeding.

My boys were getting 'girl boobs'!!

However, it settles after a few weeks, very worrying at the time though!!

Absolutely normal. My dd2 had one exactly the same - I think during pregnancy/labour there's a surge of mother's hormones which passes to baby and I think this might the cause. It went within 4 months.
