TMI - split skin in vulva

For over a month now I have an area of split skin on my vulva majora - looks like a paper cut. I haven't done anything to cause this although I do seem to be very sensitive to condoms/spermicide now.

It's really sore & can't see how it will heal as this area is always moist (tmi).

Has anyone experienced this? I really don't fancy going to the dr for a fanjo exam if I can treat with something from the chemist. Tried sudocream but no difference seen.

Think you've got to show it to nurse or dr at surgery. Could just be thrush sore?

Sounds like Thrush to me get some clomitzorole cream not sure if that's how it is spelt or a pessary or a fluconazole tablet, all can be bought over the counter.

Just wanted to say this is a symptom of thrush. I would get it checked over if you can.

Echo what the others have said, I got this when I had thrush.

Yes, thrush. I had this when pregnant with dd2.

Don't use bubble bath, soaps or shower gel in the vaginal area. This will allow the skin to heal quicker too.

If it doesn't respond to thrush then see a GP - it could be lichen sclerosus. But thrush is much more common.
