copper coil

I had mine fitted a couple of weeks ago and I have my first period since which is actually so much lighter than my usual. I was told by the gp they would be worse?.

did anyone else find theirs was better after the coil fitting or is this just a one off and I should expect armageddon come my next cycle.

I had one coil that caused problems so I had it removed. Next one - a smaller one - absolutely no problems whatsoever. The perfect contraceptive in my opinion! I have one heavy day and a couple of lighter ones. Perfectly acceptable.

My first period after getting copper coil was normal, maybe even lighter than normal. The next couple were heavier and now they are fairly normal. One heavy day then fairly light. Definitely manageable. You may be one of the lucky ones who just doesn't get heavier periods with it. Fingers crossed!

My first 6 months were very heavy. It has calmed down now though!

8 months of sheer hell then husband had snip, Yey!
