I am knackered, broke thanks to the endless packs of superplus and fed up of washing sheets and throws. Three months ago I started Cerazette and have bled like a stuck pig ever since.

It's getting heavier, too. Could I be anemic? I'm 45, so could it be the menopause?

God, you poor thing.

I had a peculiar period episode at the beginning of the year (not as bad as yours, though) and my GP said during the peri - menopause literally anything is possible - long, short, heavy, light, frequent, whatever.

So yes - possibly. But the hormones in the pill are not helping, I wouldn't have thought.

Bleeding for that long has to take a toll. I would see the GP if I were you. You might be becoming anaemic.

Oh - and when I had a mega period once I used tena lady pants Blush I know they're meant to be for incontinence but it's better than all the endless washing of sheets and throws.

Golly, you must be at least a bit anaemic by now, surely? I once bled like that for 3 months whilst pregnant and miscarrying and was definitely made very ill by the anaemia. I think maybe you need to go back to the GP and try to make this problem stop. It's not normal to bleed like that for months on end.

I would seek medical advice asap and if the GP is hopeless ask at that time for a referral to a gynae.

Cerezette can cause heavy bleeding to arise (and I have had some flooding whilst on cerezette but for only a day or so) but you should not put up with this at all. Its not "normal" menstrual bleeding.
