Anti-emetics and stomach bugs

I'm an emetophobe and can feel the winter-anxiety levels rising as more and more people succumb to stomach bugs.
I have a variety of anti-emetics in my house (from when I had hyperemesis in pregnancy) and was wondering if they would be harmful in the case of a stomach bug? Do they prolong the agony? Will they stop the sickness?!
It's not the vomiting as such I can't bear but the preceding nausea....

Hopefully someone medical-ish will be along soon, but my feeling is that generally if you have an infection that is making you vomit, then you need to vomit to get it out. This is your body's way of trying to get rid of the offending bugs. I think stopping that process, unless told to by a doctor, would be a bad idea.

Sorry Sad.
