My DD had severe excema and was advised by the GP to try sea bathing. It DID help but was hard to get her in the sea as it stung her so much at first - poor thing.

I've heard that sea water can also irritate it so guess it's just trial and error.

It helped me as a child... sort of. We went to an allergy testing place when I was a bit older, and it turned out my main allergy was to calor gas... present in my mate's beach hut

But in all seriousness - yup, it dried it out and made it heal much better.

Is the eczema raw or infected, PC? That's why it stung my DD.

This year her skin was still fairly bad but too angry and she was able to go in and it helped a lot.

Thanks. I've got a little patch on my leg that is getting slowly bigger and itching, but as we're going to the seaside in a couple of weeks' time, I'd rather try that before getting HC from the GP.
