Tampons suddenly uncomfortable - what's going on??

I have been wearing tampons for about 17yrs, I'm 34, 2DCs youngest 4.
My periods in general have been all over the place in the last year in terms of varying degree of pmt and cycle length ( switching from 33 days one month to 26 days the next) but the nurse just shrugged so c'est la vie! In the last 2 months however my bladder control at night is getting worse in that I need to go twice in quick succession before bed to make sure I feel completely empty or else I know I will be up in the night (which I have never had a problem with really, even during pg) and now my tampons feel really uncomfortable at night - a constant presence - and are harder to get into position so to speak, like something is blocking the way?

I has spd quite badly during my last pg (couldn't walk without crutches) and did lots of Pilates for about 18 months and am wondering if I need to start up again but not sure that's the only problem now

Now I'm worrying it's the start of a prolapse???

Bumping for you as I have the same problem.

Happened to me at some point after dd2 (last dc in my 40s, so although not vaginal birth just the pregnancy played a part). Yes, it was a prolapse, with hindsight - but a very slight one. it hasn't got any worse, and the only symptoms are tampons being uncomfortable and it takes a bit longer to finish weeing Blush

I was also going to suggest a prolapse.
