I have had an itchy left nipple on and off for the past few months. Last night whilst in the bath I noticed it looks different to the right one. It is much larger, and the milk ducts on the underside of my nipple have all joined up and lok swollen.
I have made a GP appointment for 10.50, but am scared sitting here at home all alone....

Update girls...Didn't get faffed off, doc took it very seriously indeed...he seems to think I have a "fungal infection" which accounts for the itchyness and the swollen joined together milk ducts. He has pescribed a cream and I have to go back next week. He says if it has not shown a marked improvement he will refer me to hospital. If it has improved I must continue with the cream for another week.

I feel so so relieved and a bit ashamed for making such a fuss - (DH left work to come with me to doctors [blush}
Thnak you both so much for taking my mind off it this morning...I don't post much, have been around for years though - but after the support you guys showed me on here I will definatly post more and extend the warmth shown to me!!
Speak to you both soon
