oh my god. This thread is making me wince and shudder, i'm not in touch with these types of things. My mum once bought me some feminist book and one chapter had a mirror and instructions on self examination. I touched mine once when trying to feel the threads of my coil. It felt icky and I feel a bit icky even thinking about it.

sorry i found this old thread and thought it was hilarous cannot believe so many diferrent reactions, what's wrong with touchig any bits inside or out!!!

I can and thought everybody could really easily so now I'm wondering whether that's why I find it SO uncomfortable to try any other positions.

This may be a stupid question and I've never thought about it before but... is that why I'm only comfortable in the missionary????

doc said she left my coil threads long so i can get used to checking them in the bath then she will trim them, i can only just feel them!

although, i find missionary most comfortable too.
other positions are ok but must ensure dh doesnt get carried away! lol

oh and by the way, midwives don't put their fingers in, they are just estimating in cm's, roughly (v roughly) equivalanet to finger widths
