Would a nutritionist help me?

Having another day where I feel exhausted. Some days not so bad but often feel tired, sometimes with a fuzzy head. I also find it difficult to get to sleep. I can also be grouchy and always seem to lack energy.

I went to GP last year who did blood tests and said I was probably just 'unhappy'. He predicted (correctly) that I would have low vitamin D which I have taken supplements for.

Would it be worth going to a nutritionist? Any other practitioners that might be worthwhile?

Many thanks

I would be careful about a nutritionist, if you do see one check out their relevant qualifications. Nutritionist is a protected title like sat a dietician. Anyone can read a book and call themselves a nutritionist.

That said I do believe there is a lot to be said for the right diet for our general health.

Sorry IS NOT a protected title. Doh!

Yeah. Dietitian is a medical specialty that requires actual qualifications, passage of exams and so on. I've heard it said that Dietitian is to Nutritionist as Dentist is to Toothy-ologist.

Thanks for the quick replies! Yes, you are right about the qualifications, I am a healthcare worker myself so wouldn't definitely ensure it was someone who had the right qualifications. Although working in the 'traditional' health field I am open to alternative practices as well. I have tried some such as reflexology, kinseology, massage, alexander technique and cranial sacral therapy. Tbh, so far the only one I thought was any good for the promises it made was massage. I appreciate some people may have found the others useful but I wouldn't use them again.
