Wondering if anyone can help me with this. For about 4 years i have been suffering with indigestion, nausea and bad heartburn. I had a scope 4 years ago which showed gastritis and a hiatus hernia was put on antacids and i then put my symptoms down to my hiatus hernia. Recently my symptoms have gotten worse again, particularly the nausea i have had another scope which was normal but i have noticed that the nausea comes on after eating bread/ cakes/ pasta etc does this sound like coeliac/ gluten intolerance to anyone? I dont have problems with bowels or anything. I know i could just cut all these things out but it is such a big lifestyle change i would prefer to know for sure. Do you think a doctor would test me.for this? I also have an underactive thyroid which i know is linked

I have no direct experience of this, but I have two friends whose children have recently been diagnosed as coeliacs.

One of them had terrible diarrhoea for several weeks, but the other had nausea and vomiting as her only symptom and her diagnosis took a while as docs didn't suspect coeliac disease with her.
