How acurate are those online Aspergers tests?

I've just did this one here and I scored 38, which indicates a good chance of being on the spectrum. Most people with AS score around 35.

I've suspected I have AS for years now but never actually done anything about it and am not sure if I will either. But was just wondering how accurate those things are regardless.

Hi timid my advice is second hand, as my DD has AS but we walked hand in hand towards her diagnosis as an adult, so I found out quite a bit.

Best advice is that the online tests are a good place to start, but scores for adults may show as lower than they might because so many coping skills have been acquired.

Happy to PM you a couple of supportive groups, who can advise much better as many have sought a diagnosis as adults.

I don't know if they are accurate but I also score highly..I have done a few out of curiosity as two of my children have autism and aspergers and I was not surprised to find my own score was high as I have a lot of traits.

I have never sought a formal diagnosis.. I have enough to do with DS2 who is quite disabled by his autism, however I do think a diagnosis can bring a sort of internal relief. My eldest says it means she feels ok to be different!
