Does anyone know what happened to the Heart Condition thread?

Evita, what's the latest? Did you finally get a second 24-hour monitor to wear? Any results yet? Is everyone else feeling OK?

Evita, I guess your appt is coming up soon (yay!)

I just saw your most recent post. Valium is addictive, yes, but there are newer versions of benzos out (xanax, klonopin) that are less so. I take xanax when & only when the anxiety gets out of hand, just in order to minimize the effect on my heart. . .These last weeks have been awful with packing up to move back to London away from all my friends, new and old. The kids are already back with their dad in London so I haven't seen them in 2 wks & worry constantly! And tomorrow I give a reading in Boston; 2 poet laureates will be in attendance--v. important mentors to me. I'm terrified and the heart has been out of control despite loads of betablockers & xanax, but I've not passed out or anything. I keep thinking of you, who seems to be suffering a great deal more and yet are v. brave. It's quite inspirational, really.

In all honesty I don't blame you avoiding the antidepressant. I know I advocated it before as some way out of your anxiety, but I'm actually just like you & worry about meds & their side effects, especially with such an irritable heart in the equation.

Hope the rest of you are well, too.
