Is killing me!

After 6 long days in hospital I went for a laparoscopy last night where they found a double sized appendix (it had a blockage!) and a cyst. It was removed and I was allowed to escape this afternoon..I was desperate to go home!

Now they did warn me that the wind pains from where they blow upyour insides will hurt a bit.. no kidding..it's worse than the problem was!!

I have sipped mint tea, I have taken windeze. But I haven't pooed in 6 days, and nothing, wind or anything else, is coming out. I usually have movicol anyway for slow bowels but am a bit wary given they have been jiggled around and I have three holes stitched up lat night.

IS there anything else I can do to get my bowels moving and the wind shifting????

Sorry to hear that. Have you tried walking around as much as you can to shift the wind? Peppermint capsules from the chemist?
I had to have lactulose and senna as well, to shift things.
If things get too bad, people say you can buy glycerine suppositories from the chemist.
Good luck. Hope things improve soon.

Peppermint tea. Tea bags cheap in Lidl, about £1 I think.
Get well soon
