Pre-School Boosters - Earlier or Later?

Just looking at the vaccine schedule for children again, and it says MMR/DTP booster is given at 3.4 - 5 years.

Any reason for the wide span?

DD1 will be starting nursery in August, is fully immunised according to the 2003 schedule.

DD2, however, will not be able to have MMR until Feb. b/c she is too young. She will, however, have the baby vaccines - she's had one lot so far and going for the next in August.

Was wondering - w/all the measles especially going about - if it might not be a good idea to have DD1 boostered earlier rather than later?

Pros/cons?
