Sore right hand side rib and shoulders

Hi I had a chest infection over a week ago was given antibiotics , the mucus cleared but now I've got pains under my ribs on the right hand side and between shoulder blades also pain between my breasts , I went to dr and she wasn't concerned but I'm getting worried and the pain is still there any ideas??

chostochondritis - inflammation of the costochrondial muscles between the ribs. If you've been doing a lot of coughing during your chest infection, this may be a possible cause.
I get it due to another condition, and when the pain starts I just breath very slowly and deeply until it subsides. Pain killers usually help too, as does a warm wheat bag over the painful area.

Many thanks, what's best for pain relief , it's very annoying and uncomfortable , I'm sitting with hot water bottle on at minute , should I get this confirmed with dr ? How long does it take to heal

As I said, it's a possible cause, but does sound a lot like me when mine starts.
Pain relief - whatever suits you best I imagine. Some people can use anti inflammatories like Ibruprofen , but I can't, so use Annadin Extra.

As for how long it takes to heal, well I don't know as I have it constantly due to my other condition. But as yours has come on with the chest infection, maybe give it a few days of rest, painkillers and TLC and hopefullly that'll sort it. If not, then maybe go back to your GP.
