Stomach ulcer?

Has anyone had a stomach ulcer? If so what were the symptoms? I have had cramps and spasms in what feels like the very top of my stomach for about a week. Going to go to gp on mon but was wondering if anyone can shed a bit more light on it until then. I do have ibs sometimes but never had it like this before, came on very suddenly and seems different to ibs.

Was misdiagnosed with one by the GP with severe pain in the upper abdomen. Whilst waiting for the tests, went to A and E as the pain continued on and off for 2 days. Turned out to be gallstones.

It is straightforward to test for, do hope you feel better soon.

Like everlong, I had that about 5 yrs ago. Acid, burning, irrespective of what I ate.

Took GP (in furrinland) 4 mths to listen to my Dr Google diagnosis. Wink Paid for private blood test in the end, and it was h.pylori. I had to have 2 lots of antibs, the first lot didn't work, but have been OK since, apart from the odd bout of gastritis. (recurrence of the burning, but without the bacteria)
