Sore sex after smear

That's it really. Had smear about a week ago and sex has been tender ever since. Don't think this has happened before - anyone else had this?

No - I have smear test regularly as I have a history of abnormal smear tests. Had slight bleeding once with a nurse who was inexperienced and tried several times to find the cervix. She called in a colleague who got it right immediately . Only had tenderness after a colposcopy but that is a very different procedure (I have had several of those).

I know this is stupid and I find it very hard to relax when the nurse tells you to but it helps! Make sure the speculum is warmed up as well.

Thanks for the reply. I'm finding it very odd. Had my results back as normal though thankfully.

The nurse seemed very experienced and the price dude didn't hurt at all.
