DS1 age 9 keeps wearing pants and socks for more than 1 day.Any problems it can cause that will stop him doing it?

Found out today that DS1 had the same pants on that he had on wednesday morning when i took him to school.He's been at his dads until today and still had the pants on.Day and night! Also socks stay on for 2+ days when he's with his dad.
Is there any health problems that may scare him into not doing it?
I dont want him going to school with stinky feet!

His dad just said "i told you to change your pants"! He didn't seem bothered that ds hadn't done it!

Tell him he'll never get a girlfriend. Show him pictures of David Beckham's aftershave ads.

Althletes foot can be caused by poor hygiene, and if he got it most schools wouldn't allow him to go swimming.

Ahletes foot will be worth a try.Not sure he's that bothered by girls yet!

Hm - DS2 (13) wears boxers, and sleeps in them, and I suspect he wears them for longer than 2 days at a time

He has the opposite problem with socks though - takes them off and drops them wherever he is, then gets a clean pair - I find dropped socks all over the house.

You don't get athletes foot from not taking your socks off though - the opposite in fact. Even if he sleeps in them, his feet should be OK as long as he baths occasionally.

janh my 11year old sounds exactly like your boy quite happily wear same boxers all weekend and moan that i nag him when i tell him for the umpteenth time to put clean ones on.

Some are, some aren't, tortoise! But Beckham might be worth a try?

I'd lie about the athletes foot thing! What about scabies????
