Okay well this all started sep 2011 after i gave birth to my daughter i didnt stop bleeding so was back and forth to the doctors who kept putting it down to my implant. I had an abnormal smear last year and had abnormal cells removed from my cervix they thought that would stop the bleeding...it didnt! I had the implant removed in jan this year the bleeding continued i was then told i had polycystic ovaries about 5 months ago. Then all of a sudden nearly 12 weeks ago my bleding stopped after 2 years nearly every day!! Did not bleed at all for the last 12 weeks.

Then 3 weeks ago i started experiencing severe pain in my lower left abdomen, severe back pain. As the days went on i would experience different things which included:
Constant pain in abdomen left and right side
Low back pain
Fatigue
Loss of appetite
Feeling full quicker
Unintentional weight loss
Blurred vision
Pain in right leg
Urge to urinate more often

I went to my doctor last monday who did a pregnancy test which was neg and checked for infection which was neg. I then went again on wed and given painkiller (co-drydamol) which are not helping. I haf to then go to out of hours on friday cause the pain was so bad and i was told there was traces of blood in my urine was given antibiotiics which did not help. I then went back yesterday for an internal exam and i woke up this morning soaked (blood) im bleeding so heavy like never before. I had a fear that my symptoms were signs of ovarian cancer i know im young but can hapoen but the doc told me its ibs i know these sypmtoms mimic each other but i dont know what to do!! This bleedings scaring me as i didnt have anything for 12 weeks and she gives me an internal and now its unbelievably heavy!!

Sorry for the massive story but im really just looking fir some advice on what to do my doctors dont listen as it took them another a year and a half after me telling them i had pcos to send me to the hosp for tests kind of diagnosing myself most.of the time which isnt good

I don't really have any advice, but didn't want to read and run. It sounds awful, and you're right in that your Drs aren't taking it seriously. Stand your ground and explain your fears in detail to them.

Did you have a scan for your PCOS diagnosis?

I think you need to go back to your GP and ask for a referral to a gynaecologist. None of your history sounds normal, or something you should just be putting up with.

I told one doc that i saw that i am showing signs and hejust said no your only 25! Regardless of anyones age if there showing most of the signs if something as serious as that they follow it up! But then when he went through my history and noticed the pcos he mentioned that it could be a cyst thats grew but they dont usually cause pain uunless there twisting the ovary or its ruptured im just not wanting to waste my time with docs that wont listen :(

Yes little i was given a ca-125 blood test which was raised and has a trans-vaginal ultrasound that said i had some polycystic ivary changes but i think aswell because it was pre-cancerous cells on my cervix and then that and now this its just making me think even more that its now something more serious. I could well be just.ibs but im not so sure

This makes me very angry. A very close family member of mine died of a rare ovarian cancer, aged just 19.

I have had a grapefruit size ovarian cyst removed, along with the ovary and Fallopian tube. It was horrendously painful as it was twisting regularly, but I too was wrongly diagnosed with IBS for 10 years. This mis diagnosis meant that my fertility was compromised as only one of my ovaries was working.

You need another scan and a referral to a gynaecologist.
