Ive been told by my gp that my kidney is slightly tilted too much compared to a normal kidney. Has anyone else got this problem and do you have any side effects from it?

Are you sure that's what the GP said? And how was it diagnosed?

What made you see the GP in the first place?

One of DS's kidneys is tilted and in an odd position (round the front near his pelvis). We found out when he had an ultrasound at 2 weeks old. It is also smaller than his normal one. However, as it has a blood supply and works okay it isn't a problem. He has no problems weeing or with infections etc. Are you seeing a consultant for this?

Yeah have seen a consultant I had a ct scan that showed it was slightly tilted

Your consultant should be advising you, if he/ she hasn't mentioned any problems then it's likely you're okay! Smile

As the other poster said, it's unlikely to be causing any problems unless you are already being atm for kidney trouble. Even then, your consultant will be able to advise.
