HELP! Turned over on ankle. In agony. What have I done?

I am at home with a baby. I just turned over on my ankle and am now in agony and unable to put any pressure on my foot. I have to pick my kids up from nursery at 5. I rang local A&E and there is a 4 hour wait. I have 3 kids under 4 and no-one is available to help me.

Anyone know what I might have done to my foot to give me this much pain? Hubby is abroad and his suggestion is to rest the foot. Wot?! Any suggestions? How long does something like this take to fix...? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Is it at a funny angle? (the foot in relation to the leg) - if so you could well have dislocated it. Otherwise sprain more likely and i'd say icepacks and cold flannels.
Can nursery help out as a special favour - ie bringing kids to you in suitable carseats?
