.............I have now got my new brace fitted............................

I had it fitted this morning on the bottom

I decided to have the metal ones on the bottom and the ceramic/see through ones on the top

Because I wanted people to notice I had got a brace rather than thinking I had something stuck in my teeth.

I have to wait for the top one to be fitted until September because of all the trauma and operation of having the canine tooth taken out of my jaw/gum

So I have to leave it time to heal.

I had a bottom front tooth taken out as well so have a big gap where the others are going to be pulled into and so make more space for them

I was wanting it to be done for my birthday party on saturday so the orthodontist fitted me in today,

here is the 1st thread

here is the one about my impacted canine tooth

Hi, I had a brace for about 18mths, came off in March this year.

I had very strong teeth & although I have lovely straight teeth now ( they do need whitening) I feel wearing a brace has taken its toll.

I didn't have any fillings, but do have a couple of holes...no decay in them yet...& I have worn the enamel away on one back tooth & a little part on another tooth.

I used the colgate Flouriguard mouth wash, which is supposed to help.

Good luck & happy teeth cleaning !

I will try to keep them clean and keep rinsing with water after each meal

I must get the mouthwash etc
