sudden severe stomach aches

i keep getting these, i know i should see a dr and will but and just wondering if anyone has anything similar and i don't know what it is.

really painful, comes on suddenly in stomach, literally makes me double up and is agonising. then it just goes on it's own and i feel okay. been happening on and off for a while now but yesterday it panicked me a bit as i just didn't know what to do and was in agony. what could it be? didn't eat anything out of the ordinary.

Stomach as in high up between ribs or low down in abdomen?

High up and radiating towards the back? I'd say gallstones. Should at least be checked for them. Or poss indigestion.

Possibly gallstones but I get the same with bad indigestion. You drunk alcohol or smoked in the last couple of days? Eaten very citric, tomatoey, garlic or spicy foods?

drank alcohol night before, could indigestion really be that painful?
