shes got watery bloodshot eyes, runny nose, very tired and lethargic, has been lying down since 4pm, shes got a temp of 104 but i think thats to do with lying on the beanbag and sweating and its one of those strip temp things for the forehead. i will check it in a n hour, gave her a spoonful of nurofen.
was ok this morn had the runny nose thou.

my ds has constant runny nose and sniff and irritable cough-am convinced it is hayfever related-he is an allergic child generally!

only thing that worries me about yours is the temp-that sounds more viral

jellyjelly · 03/07/2006 17:45

Agree that it does sound like hayfever all but the temp.

hermykne · 03/07/2006 17:54

ok thanks
i will do the temp in another 30mins and see how it is.
viral ? does that mean visit ot doc do u think

no...not unless clearly unwell and temp cannot be brought down with paracetamol.
how is the temp now?

hermykne · 03/07/2006 21:38

chipkid (vision of one big chip in my head!)
temp came down and she then had a bath and colled right down, just got the runny nose before she conked out. so i think its abad dose of hayfever. shes never had it before/

My ds (5) who suffers from hayfever (so wouldn't know if he had runny nose, sore eyes due to this or something else) came home from school with something similar last week. He conked out on the sofa with a high temperature after a dose of calpol then woke up 3 hours later fine, but still went to bed and slept all night. Very bizarre.

hermykne · 04/07/2006 07:06

furball, she still has the temp this morn. so i ll go to doctors. there was a child at playschool similar last week and maybe she got something or maybe it just happened itself.

my sister's ds has had similar. When going out into the garden he has become very drowsy and has had a temp. My dad gogled it and apparently hayfever can cause fever in children.
