so I have been referred to the gynecologist (It's 3 years now since DS1 was born by ventouse delivery...).
I've heard that they usually redo the episiotomy. Is it the only way to improve things ???
I haven't had a good experience of it and I am frightened to have to go through another 6 ~ 12 months of having sex and being unconfortable or not having sex at all.
And DH is not overjoyed either as you can imagine.
Anyone who has being in that position too ?

It might be worth reading the thread I started under Childbirth - "Has anyone had a vaginoplasty". A woman who posted had the Fentons procedure, which I think is the op you are referring to.

Sorry to hear you are suffering. I wondered if I would ever be able to have painfree sex ever again after having my son.

I have waited for 17 months for the hospital to sort out my internal and external painful areas. In the end my GP prescribed a cream called Lidocaine Ointment 5%, which I used on the painful areas. It numbs the area, which has enabled me to have painfree sex. It might be worth trying in the interim.

Will also have a look at the post about vaginoplasty.
