Boils on my bum?

Over the past week I seem to have perhaps boils? Developing on my bum/back of legs area. I'm not sure if they are boils as I have never had one but I can't think what else they would be.

Some are bigger than others and are warm and getting quite painful to touch. One in particular is more under the skin as I think it's still developing and I think it's going to be a whoopa :(

Any ideas? What would suddenly cause them?

Staph infection? See GP for ?Antibiotics and give your bath a serious scrub and disinfect.

Oh my goodness.... What is that? Why do I need to clean the bath? Is it catching?

Boils (or carbuncles as they are known) feel like they have a hard core. If you can bear to touch them press slightly & you shoud be able to feel a nubbly bit inside. Usually need antibiotics to get rid but if you're feeling brave you could try placing kitchen roll soaked in very hot water to draw them out Shock.

Thanks bunjies. I will check them out more thoroughly. The one that is on the back of my leg came up so quickly this afternoon!

If they are boils then the fact you're getting lots at a time suggests you need the antibs.

Possibly Hydradenitis Supporativa. Multiple boils with tunnel connections.
