Fluttery feeling in chest

I get this from time to time, for a few seconds, and it just sort of feels like my heart's doing something funny. It's not at all unpleasant, although it comes with a very slightly kind of breathless feeling. It's very hard to describe.

Does this sound normal? I've had it for ages and it's only just occurred to me it could mean anything because my mum has been diagnosed with a slightly long QT.

I'm generally fairly fit and healthy, and I'm 34.

Many thanks for reading.

This, apparently, common, but it is still unsettling.
I've had it on and off. One thing I would advise is for you to have your thyroid levels checked every so often. I found out recently mine has spluttered to a halt (although I'm way older than you) and wonder if it could have been responsible for some of these occurrences, but I will never know.

Also get your iron levels checked?Especially if you are tired at well.I was getting weird fleeting chest pains and palpitations and a feeling of breathlessness.Turns out my ferritin levels were through the floor.Just an idea.

Thank you both very much for the replies. Will ask about thyroid and iron if it keeps happening frequently.
