Fat middle aged legs

I was trying on dresses yesterday and realised my legs have become fat and middle aged ( and ugly). When did that happen? This is despite going running 1-2 times a week. Not happy!

It happens ):

Try mixing in some workout dvds to complement the running. You will use different muscles.

I got quite good results from the Ripped in 30 - good for core too. Also a Turbo Jam workout. It's quite old, so I don't know if still available.

I love running, but find it doesn't shape my body as much as I would hope - for the effort I put in.

As suggested, do try a few toning exercises for the legs/bottom area like side lifts, knee lifts, squats and ski squats. Years ago I read it's worth massaging body lotion into the backs or your legs/bottom after you've had a bath/shower as it reduces water building up on the backs of legs/bottom and the appearance of cellulite. This is one thing I do do - my legs aren't a perfect shape, but I don't have cellulite which I think is quite good for a 46 year old.
