So I started off with a sore throat about 10 days ago, nothing too bad, even subsided a little bit. Then Friday just gone, it returned with a vengeance. By Saturday I was in agony with it. Sunday, OH took me to the GP centre at the hospital, they have me penicillin antibiotics. It's now Tuesday & it doesn't feel any better at all :(
I honestly haven't known pain like it, it's constant & to swallow is horrendous agony. My tonsils have been taken out so I know it's not tonsillitis. I can't eat and drinking isn't easy.
I just thought I'd feel at least some relief by now. I've tried throat sprays, saltwater gargles, liquids the lot. Paracetamol, ibuprofen, codeine, every painkiller going!
Surely I can't suffer for much longer?!!!
