I am 51 and since having an endometrial ablation in February I have been having problems with urinary incontinence.
My gp referred me back to the gynaecology dept but they weren't that helpful....just told me to come back in 6 months and in the meantime have some physio/supervised pelvic floor exercises.
Just had a letter from the hospital today saying that 'due to waiting lists they are unable to offer me an appointment at this time' (for physio)
I'm really fed up. I'm only 51 for goodness sake! and I feel like I am being consigned to wearing bloody incontinence pads for the foreseeable future!
It's really affecting my confidence. To make things worse I've had a shitty cold and cough this week so am really peeing myself :(
Also, since having the ablation I've had a nasty dragging pain in the sacro-iliac area which the gynae consultant doesn't seem to think is related to the incontinence.
Should I go back to my gp and complain?
Could the incontinence be anything to do with the ablation...if so, what? any ideas??
BTW it's not leakage of a full bladder. It can happen anytime, not just when under stress. It's almost like I've lost feeling/control. Very wierd.
Any advice would be really appreciated!
