A couple of months a go I developed athletes foot for the first time on my right toe. Stupidly thought it would be enough to dry properly and make sure I get lots of air to it but has suddenly gone made and spread to sole of foot and now both palms too. I previously had a small patch of sore skin behind my ear that spreads into my hair. My doctor thought it looked like a fungal infection and prescribed Nizorol shampoo. When I got it home I realised that it has coconut in it and as I am allergic to nuts I thought I ought not to use it. So now I feel like my whole body is getting covered in fungal infection - can same the infection be responsible for all 3? Really worried about having to take oral fungal remedies any suggestions really appreciated. I have been using Canestan on my feet and hands but not really helping.

Ouch :( I found the spray was really good for athlete's foot because it gets in between the toes easily. You should probably be able to use it on your hands too.

Tea tree oil is a powerful anti fungal. It'll get rid of athletes foot. Mix a few drops with some olive oil and wipe it on every day til its gone.

Oregano oil works too, even better. But it's not as easy to get hold of.

Raw virgin coconut oil is a fantastic anti fungal and anti bacterial but like you say, if you have aunt allergy it'd be best to avoid.

A NUT allergy. aunt allergy? Hmm

I think you need to go back to the doctor, if it is fungal you need proper treatment.

UriGHOULer - you have made me laugh this afternoon with your "Raw virgin coconut oil is a fantastic anti fungal and anti bacterial but like you say, if you have aunt allergy it'd be best to avoid."

I thought that coconuts aren't actually nuts? They're seeds, so not a problem for those with but allergies?
Obviously please don't take my word for it, double check.

And yes, all your fungussy bits are likely to be all connected. It's easily transferred.

Also, take a pro-biotic!
