DS2 had the nasal flu vaccine on saturday and promptly sneezed all over me! I understand that the vaccine contains an active element, but it shouldn't cause the recipient to develop actual flu. There are various side effects, including runny nose, headache, sore throat etc.
Anyway, I now have the cold from hell! I wouldn't class it as flu, but I feel really awful. Could this be due to the vaccine which was sneezed all over me or is it just a coincidence? The reason I ask is a friend of mine is heavily pregnant and has a child booked in to receive the vaccine this week. The last thing she wants is to come down with a nasty cold.
