has anyone ever had this? its happened to me this week. I've been married over 10 years and its never happened before. I'm right in the middle of my cycle and have had no pain or discomfort

There are lots of possible causes - cervical ectropion is very common and harmless, particularly if you're on the pill. But very rarely it is a symptom of cervical cancer (very rarely) so you should really go see your gp, just for reassurance.

I had the same thing and was terrified (although it wasn't much). I went to the docs and gynae and they diagnosis an ectropian. Apparently it's v common when you're on the pill. I also had a smear whilst I was there so made sure everything was a ok.

I would go just to get it checked.

Go and see your GP. Odds are it will all be fine but just occasionally there can be a significant problem.
