Don't be embarrassed-you are ill. I had an awful chest infection last year and had pretty much what you describe. But once the chest infection went I was all back to normal

Be nice to yourself, take your medication, and hopefully you will be the same.

Same here last year - chest infection. aggravated by asthma. I have had children, though.

It did go back to normal after. Have you bought some pads?

Sparklingbrook · 03/10/2013 19:13

I had to buy pads. I was horrified.

I know it's embarrassing, but if you get the slim tena lady ones they feel like panty liners, but are far more absorbent. Loads and loads of women use them, and you'd never know. I once got into a conversation with half a dozen of my closest friends, and it turned out that we'd all bought them at some point! We'd just never talked about them.

Is your asthma under control? I had to move to a spacer last year when I had bronchitis and it made a huge difference.

My Asthma hasn't bothered me in years so im struggling to get it under control .

Do you do regular pelvic floor exercises? They aren't just for people who've had kids.

MaccaPaccaismyNemesis · 03/10/2013 20:35

I'm saying this as a women who buys a pack a week (waiting for surgery). No one looks twice. Buy the damn pads so you can cough in peace!

justaquickone · 03/10/2013 20:45

Puds Yeah I do

Macca I guess I have no choice to get some as can't hide away forever Sad

See the nurse at your surgery re: the asthma too. I was diagnosed with asthma at about your age, and had accidents then. It's the coughing - you just can't help it. You will feel so much better with a pad and its only temporary.

Thanks Sitting
