I went to the dentist today as I have nasty pain when I have hot drinks, all up the right side of my face. At the moment, it's ok (ish) otherwise. I think (but can't be sure) that the pain is coming from a particular tooth. My dentist took an X-ray and we talked about possible root canal work. I'm scared though as my next appointment is not for ten days. I've not got antibiotics as the dentist said there's no infection. Can anyone reassure me that I won't necessarily develop an infection in this time and that the pain will stay manageable?
