Hi. Hoping for a recommendation! Apologies in advance for tmi, but I tend to leak at night during my periods and our current mattress is all stained Hmm. We're looking to buy another bed and mattress atm, but we want a mattress protector too to avoid the same thing happening again. Also, we're ttc and I've mc-ed and lost fluid before during pg, so that's another concern. Obviously it needs to be waterproof, but the one I had originally was quite plasticky and DP found it made him sweat like mad (it was under the fitted sheet!). Can anyone suggest anything more breathable? Thanks.

You could try Brolly Sheets

www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=brolly+sheets&tag=googhydr-21&index=aps&hvadid=10025469726&hvpos=1t2&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=6773574741462915311&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_1xu4jl5vrr_e

Haven't tried the fitted/quilted ones, but we use the ordinary ones for DD. They don't crinkle or feel plastic and can go in the tumble dryer.
