Baby wrist?!

Hello mumsnetters,

I think I have baby wrist - the top bit of both wrists and the webby bit in between my thumbs and fingers is really aching when I pick my four month old up. Local pharmacist wasn't hugely helpful and suggested picking my son up differently (if only I'd thought of that Hmm) or using Deep Heat! I don't fancy Deep Heat much as I'm breast feeding and don't want to Deep Heat either my baby or my nipples!

Just wondered whether any of you had any tricks for alleviating it?

Thanks,

Biped

I've had that after a couple of weeks with both my babies. it was really odd a few weeks ago when it came back and I realised it was the same problem as I had with dd1. I bought a wrist support that time and then just dug it out again and wore it few a few days and I am fine again.must be to do with joints/ligaments relaxing or unrelaxing. scientific, me!
