Really nervous about ultrasound

Got one in a week to see why I've had such bad ovary pain for a few weeks.

And the really stupid and embarrassing part is, I keep feeling like I'm pregnant, but I'm not, and I know I will feel really sad when I see the empty screen, let alone the worry about what is wrong with me. :(

Fuzzpig, hope whatever it is the scan is a step to feeling better. Maybe concentrate on the scan itself, ask waht you have to do (some want you to drink loads, if it's an internal scan though it is not necessary). Good luck.

I get this! Lemme know! Been getting it mid cycle and at period time particularly - but at other times too! I had IVF. Am 42 - not sure if peri menopausal.

Scan is tomorrow. Ovary pain actually isn't so bad now so I'm not sure if that means a cyst, if there was one, has shrunk or something and therefore won't show up?! (I may be overthinking this)

I've got the letter telling me how to prepare, drinking oodles of water. Unfortunately I have a nasty chest infection now so feel like shit but determined to get it over with regardless.

I did mention poly cystic ovaries as some of the other symptoms would fit - doctor said very unlikely as I conceived both DCs first cycle. But back then I didn't have all these symptoms going on. Anyway hopefully the scan will show up whatever is going on.

I blooming well hope it's nothing menopause related - am only 26 and the whole pregnancy 'scare' thing made me realise I would rather like another baby...
