Sorry this may seem very minor compared to some things others are going through but this is really affecting my every day enjoyment of food. I saw in the dentist in August and have been told I am advanced gum disease. So will need regular checkup and visits to the hygienist and should be able to keep things on a level. However since that short amount of time a back tooth as really become loose, I have a dull ache ( not really bad pain) but I keep catching and is now have to eat very delicately. So would you allow it to out naturally or go back to the dentist. Anyone with experience of this? Eating makes me cringe.

I would go to the dentist; this problem is not going to go away of its own accord.

really eek. I thought it might eventually just fall out.

I would go back to the dentist as with correct treatment gums can firm and this might possibly save your tooth.

if you have really advanced gum disease it may not be possible to save every tooth it really depends on bone levels have you had xrays to check bone levels, if there is no bone or only a tiny amount around a tooth it can be virtually impossible to save especially when it moves on the light finger touch

however it is unlikely that every tooth is affected the same but to save the teeth you are going to need extensive treatment and ongoing maintenance at least every 2-3 months

if you just leave it, it may fall out and continuing to leave untreated will mean more teeth getting loose with time,

no treatment is only really an option if you do not mind slowly loosing your teeth
