So my boobs are sooo very sore at the moment and im not sure why.

I can rule out pregnancy as i have just finished my period today. I only get pms related breastpain which is ever so slight and lasts just a couple of days prior to my period beginning then goes when i actually come on.

This feels so bad i actually want pain killers for it. The last time it was this bad was when i was first pregnant with DD but as i say ive just had my period so cant be.

Any ideas on what it can be? Im 24 years old.

I wear a support bra at night.

Tia x

I'd POAS just in case it wasn't a period Grin

Bangonthedoor · 25/09/2013 07:25

Thank you gunpowder for replying. I suppose i could poas but my period was so red as oppose to lighter spotting. I'll try and do one in a few days anyway. X

Hope you get result you want if you do POAS!

Bangonthedoor · 25/09/2013 19:41

Thank you!

Has anyone else experienced breast pain out of the ordinary?

Recently mine lasted for 15 days prior to my period prior to the usual 1-7 days, I was Angry

Honestly you could well be pregnant...

Bangonthedoor · 25/09/2013 20:03

Thank you randommess i hope that was the result you wanted!

Well each cycle lasts 28 days - my body is like clock work. On CD9 we had sex unprotected but not again before period as both so busy!!

Boobs started hurting CD26, come on late in the day CD1 after another 28 day cycle. Usually boobs would stop hurting when AF arrives but its carried on throughout and after.

I just really dont think i could be pregnant because we only had sex once on CD 9 instead of CD14 and my period started light then got heavy then light - just like normal. I will poas though!

No answers but mine are the same lately, very sore at odd times of the month. I'm definitely not pregnant, and am 32.
Watching thread!

How did it go? Hormones have a lot to answer for!

Bangonthedoor · 26/09/2013 21:06

Not poas yet but think i will tomorrow at some point just to rule it out etc. Still sore though! Dont you just hate hormones?!

One thing i have noticed though is the discomfort is alot worse in the evening. Right about now i just want to go to sleep so i dont feel it any more.

I went to the drs with this and she recomended primrose oil. Not a great believer but have now been on the super strength caps for years and its amazing. No pmt no sore boobs. Was good advice for me . May be worth a try but you need to give it a month to really kick in

So, evening primrose oil is good for sore breasts, am I right in thinking it is also good for pre-teen girls with rampaging hormones? I may have to invest if it is.

Bangonthedoor · 26/09/2013 22:06

Oh thank you very much christine

I will poas tomorrow then if bfn (which im sure it will be) i will go and purchase some evening primrose oil....or maybe a trip to the doctors?

Ive just been googling way too much and read some horror stories!

When I went to drs I was terrified I had something awfull . I couldnt even hug the kids they were so sore. But primrose works for me though has to be super strength 1000mg (always on offer in boots) . Good luckand give It time to work does take a month

WiddleAndPuke · 27/09/2013 09:19

Do you really need a support bra at night?

My situation is slightly different as I have implants but I'd often get sore boobs. I'd worn a support bra ever since the op but recently 2 things changed:

  1. I read the bra intervention threads on here and got some properly fitting bras (went up 3 cup sizes).
  2. Stopped wearing bras at night.

No more boob pain.

Bangonthedoor · 27/09/2013 13:59

Thank you Christine, i will give the primrose oil a go. The test was negative this morning just as i thought.

widdle the support bra i wear has no wire or shape to it its just to keep them tame during the night! I get properly measured and my bra size currently is 34HH so as you can imagine i do tend to erm...roll on them in the night lol.

But i could give it a go and see how they feel without the support bra at night for a few days.
