how can i remove this mole myself?

I have a mole in my cleavage that has always bugged me, its dark and raised! I hate it! It gets itchy, my baby always manages to pinch, pull, grab it and its very annoying.

Gp won't do anything as he says its cosmetic surgery. I've looked into having it removed but it costs £500-£1000, which I can't afford.

I'm very very very tempted to either tie it or put emla cream on it then cut it off myself.

What do you guys think?

I'd get a second opinion from the GP and don't do it yourself.

trikken · 23/09/2013 17:45

I wouldn't advise you to do it yourself. Id go to see another doctor or nurse.

Humm, I'm going to the docs tomoz for something else, should I bring this up aswell then? ... I'm going to look like a health freak when I say blah blah blah then oh can you have a look at this mole while your at it!

Argh :( I just want to cut it off.

Tell them it gets caught in your clothing and is u.comfortable. more likely to get it treated that way.

gamerchick · 23/09/2013 18:45

If you cut it off yourself it will bleed like a bastard and probably freak you out.

Speak to your gp again.

If you lie & say it's itchy, got bigger & has bled sometimes then they should consider removing it.

I got some moles/warts taken off at my local beauty clinic ( they do botox etc ) with a little electric current needle type thing for 25 quid a pop. No scarring really just a tiny pinkish area, worth a shot? These were in my face and it was a bit uncomfortable but so glad I did it.
I was also quoted hundreds for the private docs to do it.

PrincessRomy · 24/09/2013 06:46

I have that mole in the same place and I also want rid of it! Watching thread.. I'm finally going to do something about it too.

EnlightenedOwl · 25/09/2013 21:14

are you sure about that price? You can get them removed privately for £200 inc histology testing don't mess yourself!

emummy · 25/09/2013 22:13

I had one in the same place removed on NhS a few years back. Don't do it yourself! Dr at time said scars in this area can be a bit keloid - that is quite large and bumpy. My scar is certainly raised but it's a lot better than the horrible thing that was there before! Maybe try another GP and emphasise how much trouble it is?

NandH · 01/10/2013 17:00

emummy how did you get it removed in the end?

Again doctor has said no!
