Stop me from checking on google!

Evening all,

Looking for a bit of reassurance so I don't resort to Google!

I've had a little lump on my top gum for a few months. Thought it would clear up by itself, but it didn't!

Went to the doctor last week and he said it looks like an infection, gave me antibiotics.

I've finished the course, but it's not looking any better, although gum is probably a bit less red!

I'm going to phone the doctor in the morning to arrange another check up, but am finding it hard to not look on Google. Am a bit worried it's not just an infection...although I'm a worrier so that's not too surprising!

I don't know if what I'm going to say will be a comfort or not...

I had this and it turned out to be an infection and I had to have root canal.

BUT the root canal did not hurt, just took a while.

So maybe get a dental check up rather than GP check up...

How big is it x

Thanks for replies!

I've got a crown on the tooth below it...but yes it could be more of a dentist thing. To be honest - I'd be ok with this!

It's a 2-3 millimetres in diameter!

I reckon it could well be dental, esp. as there's a tooth with a crown above it. It doesn't need to be agony - mine wasn't.

Deffo a dental thing, I had this turned out to be an infection. Treatment wasn't pleasant to be honest but better to get it done x
