Rozex cream/gel for rosacea. How much?

Anyone used rozex topical antibiotic cream for rosacea?

Just wondering which is the best way to apply it? Under or over moisturiser? And also how much to apply? My problem areas are my forehead, nose and inside cheeks. The amount the doctor told me too apply seems like way too much and makes me so greasy!!

Anyone?

TIA

When I used the gel my GP told me to apply a largish pea sized amount overnight.

Thanks Pluto. That's less than I was advised to used, no wonder my face has been so greasy!!

Did you apply it twice a day? And did it work for you? After lots of nasty side effects on oral antibiotics I am really against taking them if I don't have to.

To be honest the Rozex gel didn't seem to make a big difference. I was using it alongside antibiotics but had to stop taking them as they made me throw up. I used up the Rosex gel and the rosacea was a bit better but it then came back with a vengeance more recently. This time I've been prescribed something called Metrogel which I'm supposed to apply twice a day. It is working gradually. I leave it on overnight and my skin in the morning is literally flaking off...grim. That's why I don't apply it in the morning as it wouldn't be a good look at work! Rosacea is such a drag.

Nothing topical worked for me. I have found a virtual cure - I go to a clinic and they use a laser. It seals the blood vessels. I first had a course of 3 at about £125 a pop. Now I have a session when the redness starts coming back. It also stimulates the collagen in your skin so makes you look more youthful! A bit painful but it works.
