Bloody ears

So, every winter I get this ear thing. It comes every couple of weeks and feels like my inner ears and the back of my throat are inflamed and itchy. Not really sore but irritated. It's really annoying!

Any ideas? Allergies? What can I do to help it? Any advise gratefully received!

For clarification, my ears aren't actually bloody

My daughter has something like this - found out she was allergic to mould spores once the weather gets dark and damp. She takes various antihistamines or nasal sprays like Beconase seem to be best at keeping it under control. Does that help?
