Headaches - eyesight?

I have been getting headaches for the past month. Sometimes bad ones usually after being on computer or reading. Had an eye test the other day. I have glasses for distance and that has not changed. I was told my eyes are starting to develop long sightedness too, but it is very slight at the moment and not worth worrying about.

The prescription for my usual glasses has stayed the same, but he has written +0.5 reading addition. I have just spent 2 hours sewing a whole pile of Brownies badges on (Blush been collecting them for a few months) and my head is now thumping. Is it worth buying a pair of off the shelf reading glasses (+0.5) or is it so slight it won't make a difference? I just feel the headaches are to do with my eyes and close up work...optician didn't seem to think it was bad enough to be causing headaches.

It does sound like eye strain (disclaimer NOT an optician) not sure about off the shelf glasses.

It's probably a good idea to make sure you give them a rest and not sew for 2hours without a break Smile

May be worth mentioning to your doctor, just in case, and let them know you have been to the optician.

Thanks Going. I had to do so many as I'd left it until 4 hours before Brownies started to sew on 10 badges!

I hid in the dark for 15 minutes and it seemed to improve.
