I'm 30 weeks pregnant and the muscles in one leg, always in the same place, have been really twitching, almost jumping, on and off for the last day or two, mainly at night.

I know I've read something about it, but for the life of me i can't find it now. Is it a lack of something in my diet?

Don't know about diet but I had this with both my pregnancies. My mw recommended I stretched my leg with the heel down, not the toe and I found it worked a bit. Good luck!

i had this in both pregancies, sorry can't advise a away to stop it, just think '10 more weeks, 10 more weeks'

I too had twitching legs, especially during the later months of my second pgcy, and almost always in the evening. It's quite common, apparently, and not harmful - just IRRITATING. Getting up and walking around for a few minutes, or the heel-down stretch that Epigirl mentions, helps a bit. The lack in your diet thing you're thinking about is probably leg cramps being associated with a lack of, erm (forgotten!!!) calcium, I think?

My friend, who is a med student, told me it was due to water retention trapping a nerve somewhere. IT was very irrating.
