DS3 had infected eczema behind his ear a few weeks ago and had to have foul foul Flucloxicillin for it.

I've just realised that he has a red, weepy patch behind one ear again. Is there anything I can do to nip it in the bud - I'm desperate to avoid more antibiotics? Can I just buy some antibiotic ointment in the chemists or do I have to take him to GP?

All I've done so far is to bathe it with boiled water with a pinch of salt in.

Update - I took him to GP and we got Fucidin/Hydrocortisone ointment for it. No antibiotics, thankfully.

make sure you keep the fucidin H tube when his patch has cleared up because it comes in very handy and you don't have to keep trooping off to get a prescription!

hope it gets better soon - it's an annoying place to get it because it's so easy to scratch there!
