Ailing
g a bit fed up and sorry.for myself tonight. In hosp since thur morning. Brittle asthmatic.had attack at home dialed ambulance, took nearly an hour to sort me at hone then taken to a&e. They stabilised it but then got worse so taken to resus. In resus for 4 hours then moved to ward.

Not allowed to move to hosp where my consultant is as there is no hdu or ice there and they want me near one incase bad again.

Was getting a bit better but had a bad morning.today.

I now have an infection.in my hand where my canula was ans its red hot oozing pus and swollen.lovely!

Been having dried black.blood clumps and red blood out nose. Yuck. Think its the atmosphere in here.

And my period has just started.

Been having unexplained horrid headaches.

Potassium too low so need to drink vile salty fizz.

Anyone think what would help nose?

Maybe your nose is a bit dry? The atmosphere in Hospitals can be dry, you can get saline nose spray or drops. Might be worth a go to put a bit of moisture in your nose.

I hope you feel better soon Thanks

Good plan will ask for that thanks

if you have been given your nebuliser with a face mask, that can dry out your nose.

also banana is good to build up potassium levels.

butterflyflyaway · 08/09/2013 23:58

Sorry to hear about the cellulitis too...very painful.
Hope you feel better soon x

My mum had cellulitis. It's grim.
Can you have soluble co codamol? I find that very good for pain.
I had to have that potassium stuff. Ugh. Tasted like a moisture of vomit and salt water. Bluergh.
I have been eating bananas since as they are a good source of potassium apparently.

giraffescantdanceallnight · 11/09/2013 22:39

I just have normal cocodamol. After drinking yucky potassium I am not sure I could drink soluble cocod. Yeah Dr said bananas and choc...although am not sure about the choc but will try hard to persevere with it on Drs orders!

She said if I was off nebs I wouldn't have to have the drink but when on them I need it to keep levels up.

I thought it was like fizzy bitter salt water.

The lump on my hand where IV site was is getting bigger, yuck.

Badvoc · 12/09/2013 07:45

Oh dear.
Get a brio and mark the area of infection in your hand...if its getting bigger you may need to go back :(
